Come on down! That's right. We were able to go to The Price is Right! We left early in the morning, and Dad and Diane watched our kids. Devin, Zac and I had tickets to the 8:30 am taping in Hollywood. Our gps said we would get there by 7:43 am. Plenty of time to park. Nope. Did you know L.A. has a lot of traffic? Like an HOUR back-up time? We didn't get to CBS until almost 9:00 am. We ran to the station, and they still had people in line! So we ran to the front and they told us that they were full today, and we could get a ticket for another day. I was so sad. I have been looking forward to this for months. Zac told the guy that we were from Utah and that just isn't going to happen. He goes, "You're from Utah? Hold on. Let me see what we can do." He then left for 20 minutes. When he came back he said that we were in. They had to set up folding chairs for us in the back. We had great seats though. Back and center. Right next to the Price is Right signs.
We were there for 5 hours! We had to wait in line to fill out social security info (in case you win, and to make sure you are eligible to win), nametags, pictures, interviews, security, and to get into the show. You have your picture taken in front of everyone. We planned on everyone doing the "thumbs up" sign. Secretly Devin and Zac plotted to just look surprised and make me look dumb. Thanks boys. Mission accomplished.
After the taping we went and ate at Pinks World Famous Hotdogs. I have always wanted to go there. They seriously had over 60 different kinds of hotdog combinations you could order. I got a Lord of the Rings hot dog...bbq sauce and onion rings. It was good.
While we were at The Price is Right, Dad and Diane took care of the kids. They had fun playing cards and going swimming.
